Active Shooter Seminar

Situational Awareness: Active Shooter Seminar
Presented by Santa Fe Springs Policing Team

Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. Because active shooter situations are often over within 10 to 15 minutes, before law enforcement arrives on the scene, individuals must be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with an active shooter situation.

The Situational Awareness Active Shooter Seminar provides a variety of no cost resources to the public to enhance preparedness and response to an active shooter incident. The goal of the seminar is to ensure awareness of actions that can be taken before, during, and after an incident.

Participates will learn:
  • Actions for responding to such situations.
  • What to do if the shooter is inside the building.
  • What to do if the shooter comes into the room or office.
